TRANSPARENCY & ACCURACY

Corrections Policy

Migrant Times strives for uncompromised accuracy. When factual errors occur, we correct them rapidly, openly, and visibly.

Policy on Factual Errors

If a substantive error of fact is discovered in a published story — such as an incorrect date, misattributed quote, flawed data point, or misspelled name — the article is corrected immediately upon verification.

Substantive corrections are documented with a prominent, timestamped Correction Note placed directly beneath the headline or byline, stating what was incorrect, what the accurate information is, and the time the correction was appended.

Clarifications vs. Developing Updates

When an article is not inaccurate but requires additional context to avoid ambiguity, we append a Clarification Note.

In developing stories where facts evolve, updates to new information are stamped with an Editorial Updated Date, keeping the historical record intact.

Submitting a Correction Request

We welcome readers and subjects to flag potential errors. To report an inaccuracy, please provide:

  • The URL of the published story
  • The specific passage or data point in question
  • Primary evidence or documentation supporting the correction
  • Your contact details for verification

Send reports via our Contact Form or directly by email to info@migrantimes.com.
